The wheels are down and we’re landing this bitch

I started this blog back in early 2022. I had a plan – at least ten published posts, every social media profile meticulously set up, become a Yoast professional, and all before launch… Well, here we are on the cusp of September and I still haven’t taken down the “Coming Soon” window because I played myself.

I think I got lost in what I wanted this blog to be and got hung up in trying to create this “perfect” thing that doesn’t exist. And for the last 9 months, every time I’ve experienced something relevant I would think “Oh, that would be a good thing to put on the blog…” When in reality – what blog? I wasn’t blogging. I have ten draft posts that I’m too self-conscious to finish because they might not be good enough or a detail may be wrong. But that’s life, and life is full of mistakes. That’s the entire reason I created this website, is to tell you about the mistakes I’ve made, solutions I’ve found, and, above all else, yell into the void.

So I’m going back to basics and just writing what I want. I’m not always going to have a thought-provoking opinion or a world-changing accessibility tip for you. I’m a developer, not a content creator so I’m still figuring out SEO, I’m not good at Tweeting, I probably won’t have a consistent schedule, and at some point, I WILL post a drunk blog post that will be nearly unreadable.

So put your seat in the upright position, folks. The wheels are down and we’re landing this bitch. Watch your step and welcome to A11y Cats.
